‘Little Nicky 2’: Is Adam Sandler Returning For A Netflix Sequel?
Could we actually see Little Nicky 2 on Netflix? Recently, fans of Adam Sandler have been buzzing with rumors of a sequel to the 2000 comedy Little Nicky, where Sandler starred as the Devil’s son, embarking on a mission to bring his rogue brothers back to Hell. While a poster of a supposed sequel has been circulating on social media, is there any truth to it?
Little Nicky, which starred Sandler alongside Patricia Arquette and Harvey Keitel, has become a cult favorite over the years. The original movie presented Sandler’s character Nicky as an awkward, gentle son of Satan trying to rein in his misbehaving brothers and save Earth from chaos. The fan-made poster for Little Nicky 2 suggests a 2024 release on Netflix, showing Sandler’s character dressed in a red robe and pajama pants, sitting on a bench in New York City with his beloved dog Beefy by his side.
However, reports confirm that the poster is a fake. Sources from The Direct pointed out that the image appears to have been heavily edited, recycling elements from the original film’s poster with slight modifications. Although fans would love to see Sandler reprise his devilish role, neither Netflix nor Sandler has announced plans for a Little Nicky sequel.
While Little Nicky 2 isn’t happening, Sandler’s projects with Netflix have been immensely successful. He’s delivered hits like Murder Mystery (which earned a sequel), Hustle, and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, proving that his unique comedic style still resonates. Given Sandler’s recent choices, a return to Little Nicky seems unlikely, especially as he explores more dramatic and family-oriented roles.
Until any official announcements, fans will have to stick to rewatching the original or exploring Sandler’s extensive Netflix catalog.
