The mother is obsessed with tattooing her 1-year-old child. So Bad Art or Bad Mother?

Shamikia Morris has sparked controversy after revealing that she started tattooing her son at just six months old. The Florida-based mother loves to decorate her child’s body, although tattoos are temporary, and most people do not agree with it.

However, Shamikia is unfazed by the criticism, stating that it’s her choice and her lifestyle. “Most of the comments about me are horrible to say the least. It’s crazy. People insult me in all kinds of ways, and it hurts my feelings because I know I’m not a terrible mother,” she explained in an interview. “If they want to judge someone based on a random 30-second video they saw on social media, that’s their choice, but they should know that their opinion does not determine the essence or future of the person they are accusing.”

Despite the backlash, Shamikia claims that her family is supportive of her decision, although they were initially shocked and devastated. “At first, my family despised me. None of them liked my tattoos, and when I started decorating Traylin’s body, they were shocked and devastated. Now that they’re starting to realize it might be for the good, they’re embracing it. We attract everyone’s attention when we are out. Young people love his tattoos,” she shared.

While Shamikia’s sister, Dinara, initially opposed the idea, she eventually accepted it after realizing it could be helpful for the family. “The moment she told me she wanted to start tattooing her 6-month-old baby, I immediately told her that someone would go to child protection, but in the end, I respected her decision and accepted the way she decided to take care of Traylin,” she revealed.

Despite the controversy, Shamikia remains committed to her decision, believing that she is building a better future for her son. While many have criticized her, others have defended her right to make her own choices as a parent. Ultimately, only time will tell whether or not her decision will have a positive impact on her child’s life.
